Cyberpark Technology Incubator

General Information
Cyberpark Technology Incubator is Turkey's first private incubator within a technopark, that mainly focuses on supporting start-up companies operating in ICT sector and aims to create an "incubation culture" in Turkey.

Operating in an incubator space, startups can benefit from financial gains such as a much lower working capital, better and easily maintained support, and administrative services. Furthermore, they can also benefit from the tax incentives of the Technology Development Zones Law (No:4691) under the same conditions as regular Cyberpark tenant companies.

The goal of the incubator is to nurture technology based start-ups or young companies and entrepreneurs with long-term potential for success to the point where they are ready for the market. It will reach this goal by promoting the effective use of ICT and by providing them with necessary expertise, networks and tools, to make their ventures successful, while contributing to the creation of an "ICT based incubation culture" in Turkey.

Incubator is located on the second floor of Cyberplaza Block B

Objectives
Specific objectives of the incubator are:
  • To allocate office space, secure the necessary infrastructure and develop a range of premises and value added services to increase the performance and competitiveness of local entrepreneurs and small businesses, which conform to the entry criteria of the Incubator;
  • To benefit from the R&D potential of universities in the area and facilitate technology transfer from academic institutions to entrepreneurs;
  • To create job opportunities in the start-ups and SMEs located in the incubator for students and graduates in software and high technology related fields in the region and to help students to gain and integrate business perspectives into their study life; and
  • To encourage spin-off firms in the incubator started by academicians and enable academicians and students to become more entrepreneurial by commercializing their research studies.

    The ICT-based objectives of the incubator can be summarized as follows:
  • To encourage the establishment and development of ICT-enabled ventures;
  • To create a nurturing environment for ICT-based start-ups and SMEs via the cluster of technology-based companies within the technopark and create a synergy among them;
  • To enable more commercialized ICT-based technologies;
  • To promote e-business and adaptation of other ICT opportunities among the entrepreneurs in the region;
  • To provide Best Practices to the whole country regarding ICT-enabled incubation processes, raising awareness of the opportunities of ICT for entrepreneur innovation;
